I use a Brother 2040 for b&w. It is very cheap and I get about 8000 copies to a refill which costs me $65 at cartridge world.
Someone said Officeworks was selling the 2040 for about $100 around Christmas. I paid more .. About $150 I think. I occasionally want colour and have an Epson inkjet - which seems to use ink even if I don't use it! But it is reasonable. I find it cheaper and easier to have someone else print my photos than use inkjet cartridges.
