Hi Alan, No, this is one of my main bugbears. I would really love to find a good mac program for this.
I ended up using excel and creating my own records/portfolios - but I wouldn't really recommend it!! I also buy and sell shares through commsec but now have both personal & self-managed super accounts. I might check on the markets during the week but every weekend I download my holdings table as a csv file and copy into my portfolio spreadsheet (a new worksheet for every week) & have formulas to work out the weekly increase/decrease in each holding and the overall portfolio. However, while I can copy & paste rows & columns of formulas from week to week and do a replace all to change the previous week's reference sheet, I still need to change various bits & pieces as I buy & sell shares (if I still want the %ages to have meaning. I did spend quite a bit of time looking around, & downloaded some demo software (it might have been Sharemanger, but I don't really remember) but I though it was rubbish basically. I also got a copy of Maus Stockmarket Plus (Windows only) with a share magazine subscription - I have installed it and run it under VPC - it's much better than the mac demo - but I still find it a pain to use and I'm not sure it's worth the effort - and I'm not totally happy with the way it handles some transactions (demergers, capital returns etc). So... I can't offer any recommendations, sorry! However, if you DO find anything that's half decent .... I love to hear about it!! Good luck. Neil -- Neil R.
