Nick has pointed out the obvious to me! Yes the SD card did have the locking
switch on!! As I only ever use Flash Cards, I wasn't aware of this locking
facility.
So on we go - after only wasting 3 hours today,trying to download!
All is successfully downloaded now.
Damn technology!
