or you could just use Migration Assistant and port you applications
(and all their settings files) to the new had disk.
3 ways -
target mode your iMac and firewire cable - easiest way
take hard disk out of iMac and put in external firewire case
take hard disk out of iMac and mount it in the G5 tower (assuming it's SATA)
I'm considering putting the larger hard drive from my single
processor iMac G5 into my dual processor G5 tower.
Will I be able to boot from this drive "as is" or will the
single/dual processors, and perhaps the different architecture,
cause a conflict?
I'm basically trying to avoid having to reload all my software.
