Its all a numbers game. If they send out 10 million emails and 0.1% of those buy something then thats still 10,000 sales. Most people do get angry and annoyed, but there would likely be a few people who really do want to buy Viagra over the internet. Plus I have been noticing that there is significantly more phishing emails lately than actual SPAM, and there are also enough naive people out there who fall for those as well.
