Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any tips on calculating how myuch a page cost to
print or photocopy?
ie Is there any software or scanner application that can tell you
how much of each colour is on the page?
Is it possible to calculate using software like Graphic Converter?
I do have a very general publication from canon that gives a rough
idea but I'm looking for something more soecific.
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Peter,
One Way to calculate the printing cost per page is by dividing the
ink cartridge price by the yield, (Yield is the number of pages
that can be printed with one particular inkjet cartridge or toner).
For example, if the price of an inkjet cartridge is $33.99 and its
yield is 800 pages, then its cost per page will be $33.99/800=
$0.042 (4.2 cents per page).
Or perhaps Print Audit 5 might be worth having a look at:

Cheers,
Ronni
and adding to Ronni's info ,
if you are using the " Stated Yield " of any cartridge , remember
that the figure is
usually calculated on the basis of only 5 % coverage of the page .
IF your ink covers the whole page , you will get less pages from the
cartridge !
It's a bit of a guessing game when it comes to practical use.
Have fun
Bob
