I know this isn't quite what you were asking but, in addition to the
answers already given, another aspect to cost of printing with laser
printers is the toner capacity of the cartridge.
For instance, for my Lexmark T632 a cartridge that will do 5000 pages
will cost around $150 new - 3 cents per page.
An extra high yield cartridge that will do 32,000 pages costs around
$450 new - 1.4 cents per page.
Also, I can get that high yield cartridge completely refurbished and
refilled for $225 - 0.7 cents per page.
On an ongoing basis, laser printers are far, far cheaper than any
alternative I can think of. And the fast declining cost of colour
lasers makes them now within reach of many more users. Add the speed
of output and lasers become very attractive - mine does 38 ppm.
Cheers,
Mike Fuller

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any tips on calculating how myuch a page cost to
print or photocopy?
ie Is there any software or scanner application that can tell you
how much of each colour is on the page?
Is it possible to calculate using software like Graphic Converter?
I do have a very general publication from canon that gives a rough
idea but I'm looking for something more soecific.
Thanks in anticipation
