Over in the education department we vary but usually charge a flat rate of
50 cents to $1 for B&W depending how much money we want off the users and
colour can vary from $1 up to $3, depends how the colour printing is
completed. EG: Inkjet, Photocopier, Laser Colour etc etc

and adding to Ronni's info ,

if you are using the " Stated Yield " of any cartridge , remember  
that the figure is
usually calculated on the basis of only 5 % coverage of the page .

IF your ink covers the whole page , you will get less pages from the  
cartridge !

It's a bit of a guessing game when it comes to practical use.
