Latest version of Reunion is v9.06, I haven't come across any
problems working in OS X 10.5.1 so far.

Personal Ancestral Filer (PAF) was free software originally
distributed by
the Mormon Church, but they dropped support for Macs some years
ago. This
was a bit disconcerting seeing as I'd collected data on over a
thousand
family individuals since prior to 1994. GEDCOM was a standard data
transfer protocol initiated by the Mormons, but over the years they
made
changes to the standard which were not always well interpreted by
other
software over time. There was a lot of doubt about compatibility.
Nevertheless, I'm pleased to report that Warren using his Reunion
on OSX
was able to easily read a test GEDCOM file generated from my very old
software. I think it was originally initiated on on one of my OS 7
machines
prior to 1994. (It still works just as well today on OS9.)
So even more happily, the old GEDCOM version will be able imported
into a
modern OSX Mac running Leopard. Another victory for humans.
Now I need to buy a copy of Reunion for OSX. Do any list members
of local
dealers have one for sale, either new or second hand? Apple Store
US sell
it, but not Apple Store AU. Alternatively I could pay online to
have the
demo unlocked.
