Today my wife took our Macbook (Tiger 10.4.11)offsite, way out of
wireless range and among other things wrote some emails and "Sent"
them. No warning messages. I expected them to sit in the "Out"

are sitting in the "Sent" box. With hindsight it would have been
better to save them all as drafts to send later.
Has she somehow unwittingly gatecrashed a wireless network? Have
they really gone? How can I find out? Of course I can just
"Resend" them all
but that is clumsy and messy
Other things disregarded , it is not that difficult to resend them .
Drag & drop the message from the Send box to Drafts box
Open the drafts box , double click on the message and hit the send
button.
and annoying for the recipients.
I can not believe that Mail would put them in the Sent box if they
had not actually gone.
Yes ! I agree . If Mail cannot access the server it usually tells
you . ( 10.4.8 )
Might be an idea to check with the destinations to see if they did
arrive
