Today my wife took our Macbook (Tiger 10.4.11)offsite, way out of
wireless range and among other things wrote some emails and "Sent"
them. No warning messages. I expected them to sit in the "Out"

are sitting in the "Sent" box. With hindsight it would have been
better to save them all as drafts to send later.
Has she somehow unwittingly gatecrashed a wireless network? Have
they really gone? How can I find out? Of course I can just
"Resend" them all but that is clumsy and messy and annoying for the
recipients. I can not believe that Mail would put them in the Sent
box if they had not actually gone.

Hi Severin,
If they are in the Sent Box and your Wife didn't put them there .... I
would say they have been sent.
When a message is sent Mail keeps a copy in the Sent Box.
They would be in the Outbox if they haven't been sent.
Go back to the place where your wife 'sent' the emails & check if you
are in range of a unprotected wireless network??
Cheers,
Ronni
