Isopropyl alcohol is recommended by the manufacturers of my printer,
OKI, and my fax machine, Brother, for the cleaning of the LEDs. The
only product containing isopropyl alcohol that my local chemist has
is rubbing alcohol sold as Isocol. Will this meet the cleaning
requirements?
In short - yes.

I use the pure version from Altronics
<http://www.altronics.com.au/index.asp?area=item&id=T3035> for my
electrical gear and have used Isocol on many other jobs without
problems.
Wear gloves to avoid dermatitis, make sure the place is well
ventilated and stay away from naked flames!
Cheers, Antony.
