Hi, > Is isopropanol good for cleaning the keys on these new apple aluminium > keyboards?
Officially, Apple's line is this: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=30889 (use isopropanol for casings), http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=34883 (have keyboards cleaned by authorised personnel), http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60446 (clean LCD screens with water only). But I have always used isopropanol for all the above, because it's compatible with household hard plastics as a general rule. I have also used this on the Apple aluminium keyboards with white keys -- no problems whatsoever to date, clears up the finger grime. Wipe with water first if you have food spots on it. Personal choice.
