Hi Severin The Skype contacts are stored on the Skype server, so all you need to do is setup the same account on the new laptop. After a few seconds they will just appear. So you don't really need to do anything.
I've seen this work when I was showing a client on their new Mac laptop Skype. I logged in with my details and it just populated the list for me. So I would imagine it should be the same for Windows. You can also copy the contacts from the following if the above doesn't work. A quick google search "how to transfer Skype contacts" gives the following:- <http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=how+to+transfer+skyp e+contacts&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8> First hit reveals:- Q: How do I save my Skype contacts so I can reinstall or use them on another machine ? You can back up the following directory onto a floppy, CD, or Zip drive for use on other systems Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Skype" and save the folder. Once you have installed again, copy what you saved in the same folder. Hope that helps.
