Hi Ronni, Do you have a link for where you saw this solution?
I wouldn't have thought I HAD a "Previous iTunes Libraries" - where would such a beast live? I only recently got the iMac back from a warranty repair (replaced video board) and at that point I erased and reformatted the drive to two partitions, re-installed all the software, and started iTunes with a clean slate - re-importing my CDs as I go - I haven't pulled anything over from my old iTunes (though it is all still there on my various back-ups, on eternal disks, at present). My general idea was that I previously had various flavours of mp3 AAC etc imported by various flavours of iTunes over the last 6+ years and it was a good time to start afresh with a more consistent approach. At present, I think I may just live with a minor annoyance rather than spend any more time on what sounds to be a quite invasive solution. However, I really appreciate your research and suggestion - which I will keep on hand and may try down the track (when I have a bit more spare time). Thanks again, Ronni. Cheers Neil -- Neil R.
