Has "the employer" enabled web access for this? Both the Mac clients mentioned here have only limited success in utilising a connection with Exchange. Entourage has been described accurately enough in the previous posts, Mail can send and receive fine but has problems with calendaring. Why cant it be like on the brochure?! Nooooooooooooooooooo ;-)
So for me "OWA" (Outlook Web Access) is a much better experience. It is laid out like Outlook which is an improvement over Enter-rage and seems to work well enough for most of the people I have seen using it. Sadly it's calendaring cannot integrate with your OS so calendar events cannot pop up, you need to look at the calendar. So if you aren't using shared calendaring Mail is fine, otherwise I recommend OWA.
