Adrian Do you have something with the same name in the location that you are restoring to? If so, try moving that to a different location (or renaming it - don't delete it!) and then try the restore again.
If you are still having no luck, just manually drag and drop the folder/file you want to restore from the Time Machine drive to the location on you drive where you want it. Also, make sure Aperture isn't running while restoring from backup. Good luck! Patrick Lawrence.
