From what I read on Macworld's live keynote update last night, Australia won't see the new iPhone until some time in July. It will be release in the US and five other countries late in June (around the 22nd from memory - it WAS after 2am). The July release of new iPhone models in Australia has been the practice since the original one, I believe.
