Hi Reg, My daughter had the very same problem on her iMac, and here's what I did to fix it:
Close Safari or Force Quit if necessary, then locate the following and delete them. /Library/Application Support/Conduit /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit Note that on Apple's site they also advised to remove the following: /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle But I did not have to do this. Failing this the other recommend would be to download Safari and reinstall it.
