Yes Ronni, an existing one and a new one.
I just used OnyX and refreshed, rebuilt, deleted everything
imaginable. upon restart Safari booted and opened the Safari homepage.
Progress I thought.
Not paying attention I looked away... it crashed.
Go Camino. So sweet and simple an app.

I don't believe so. I have Safari 5 installed on one of my computers
running Leopard & have not experienced any problems.
I believe the fault lies on your computer, or your user account.
Have you tried Safari 5 in another account.
Are you running Safari 5 in 32-bit or 64-bit mode?

I'll pursue Peter's advice I think although it looks scary in the
Terminal! I shouldn't need to do this. Is this an Apple fault?
Luckily I usially use Camino but Safari is handy for the few
sites that Camino rejects. Firefox is looking like a nice option.

installed the wrong copy. Perhaps I've got something else
running that is
conflicting with it. Fortunately I've Camino and Firefox which
I like and
