Perhaps he's right. Just as MP3 players have killed the CD, perhaps video streaming & MP4 players will kill the DVD and BlueRay.

Battery life is still better on the MBP
Flash storage doesn't have as long a life in terms of write cycles compared to HDs.
No firewire (can't use target mode - techies hate this)
11" has no SD.
Lower resolution
No backlighting on keyboard (not a real problem)
Half (11") to almost half (13") the weight of MBP
2Gb ram not 4 Gb
Having said that I still think I would prefer the 11" over the other 2, it is way cool!!

Sharing a DVD player from another Mac was very easy for software install. But it didn't work when trying to play back a DVD.

- No firewire port (if you have a firewire movie camera or external firewire hard drive)
