Hi Ronni, The 'migration' was in fact, simply Installing the old and loved Eudora 6.2.4 on the iMac. (as were all the other programs - clean installs). She then used the iMac until it's HD died. New HD fitted (such fun, all that sticky aluminium RF shielding!) During the intervening period she reverted to the G4
So there are G4 Eudora folders on the iMac, it's own Eudora folders and Eudora folders from a backup HD, all of which have overlapping dates. Eudora 6.2.4 is used on all machines until a reasonable equivalent is found/developed. That and some well loved games aren't ready for Lion. Yes, there was quite a volume on Eudora replacements and their various merits - and nothing has yet come up with an overall equivalent. OS X 10.7.2 is sitting in a second partition on the iMac, for my out of hours familiarisation I hope that is a little clearer than mud . . .
