Hi James, Whew, you like making work for yourself ;-) The amount of work depends on how many messages and whether they are filed neatly in mailboxes or if they're all over the place. Looks like you are going to have to do some sorting of emails, and manually move the messages you need.
If I’m understanding your situation (actually your wife’s situation), I feel you are going to have to select all messages you wish to transfer and then place them in the same mailboxes in the ‘Current’ working Eudora Application Mailbox folders on the iMac in Eudora Folder/Mail/ folder I’ve never used Eudora or know much about it’s folders structure. NOTE: Of course make sure you BACKUP before you do anything ;-) Quit Eudora before you start: I guess you have Mailboxes such as Inbox, Sent, & possibly other named mailboxes Assuming that you can identify the material you want to transfer. 1. Create a 'Transfer’ Folder on the Desktop 2. Within that folder create folders named the same as the mailboxes 3. Move all the messages you need to transfer into the appropriate Mailboxes in the ‘Transfer’ folder 4. Then, one folder at a time: A) Open the folder and 'select all’ messages in that folder and 'drag & drop' the messages into the ‘same named’ Mailbox in the ‘Current’ working Eudora folder on the iMac. At the moment that is the only way I can think of doing this. If it was just a normal transfer of the Eudora Mail folders from one Mac to a new Mac, or even if you were transferring from Eudora to Apple Mail would be easy :-) But when you have messages in two Eudora Applications and only need to move the ones that are NOT in the current Eudora Application folders, not quite as easy :-( Also, I take absolutely NO responsibility if this does not work, or you mess up the moving of the messages.
