Hello to the Group, I might be barking up the wrong tree (again) but wasn't there a run of MacPros that had the incorrect Bluetooth antenna fitted to the board? Symptoms were very-poor range because the wireless signal could not penetrate the Pro's cage.
Not everyone uses a Bluetooth peripheral so this went under the radar.
