Hi, Ronni, I followed your instructions, repaired permissions, checked the info on the iTunes folder. I have Read & Write permission and the Locked box was not ticked. However, the little lock icon at the bottom of the Info panel was shown in a locked position, so I unlocked it. I finally got my hands on the iPhone again, plugged it into the computer and finished the job: no pesty error messages appeared. So, thank you very much. It would be great if the error messages were not quite so cryptic!
