[~/ Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/ iBooks/Books] NO, not at this early stage of iBooks on Mavericks. A lot of people have tried numerous ways... Creating an OS X style "alias" doesn't work or "symbolic links" to the volume on the external drive doesn't work. Nothing successful has been achieved. Searching Google brings up multiple people with the same problem and no answers.
