Hi Brian Have you installed any "new" software recently (or third party add ons?) How did you un-install Airport as well? Just dragged it to the Trash or uninstalled it?
A few places to start with,… Look in Macintosh HD - Library. Look in LaunchAgents for anything there that may relate to video programs. Look in LaunchDaemons for anything there that may relate to video programs. Look in StartupItems for anything there that may relate to video programs. (Or list what you have back to the list). Also check Console when you open any of Skype / FaceTime / PhotoBooth and see if anything gets listed that may look like it's blocking it. Try those and see how you go.
