Hi Daniel No new software recently except for Combo Update 10.9.2. Removed AirParrot with an uninstaller from their website.
Checked Launch agents and Launch daemons and nothing 'video' there. Look in LaunchDaemons for anything there that may relate to video programs. Look in StartupItems for anything there that may relate to video programs. (Or list what you have back to the list). Also check Console when you open any of Skype / FaceTime / PhotoBooth and see if anything gets listed that may look like it's blocking it. Try those and see how you go.
