Hi, After a long WAMUG correspondence trying to fix an issue with Notification
Centre which did not work after the upgrade to Sierra from El Capitan, I erased
my iMac 27 HD with Disk Utility.

Then I went away on holiday with my laptop and returned this week to my iMac
27,which used to hold all my files.
The iMac 27 now operates well with Sierra OS 10.121.2 and with just the basic
applications installed with thee reset.

However with the new setup every new file went straight to iCloud Drive.

I turned off iCloud Drive and there's a new Documents folder in Finder. That’s
fine but I need to recover those backed up.
ALSO, where is the iMac 27 HD disk image, I expected that to appear on the
desktop?

Before I erased and restored with Sierra, I had backed up my files onto the
Time Machine Drive, but I’m reluctant to transfer everything across entirely as
the old Notification Centre problem may be hidden in the backup!

So, I’m asking for guidance on what to transfer other than Document files.

The folders backed are MACINTOSH HD>
APPLICATIONS;
LIBRARY;
SYSTEM;
USERS>
subfolder ME
subfolders DESKTOP, DOCUMENTS, DOWNLOADS, DROPBOX, iCLOUD DRIVE(archive),
MOVIES, MUSIC, PICTURES, PUBLIC and SHARED

WRT APPLICATIONS, I will only re-instal those I know worked without issue.

Otherwise what do I really need to reinstall from the backup.

Happy New Year
Marcus
