Hi folks,

I visited as friend yesterday whose husband died very suddenly a month ago.
She asked me to take a look at an issue with her Apple TV.
She uses it to stream music to her TV from iTunes on her 2013 iMac.
And has done so for some time.

However during the past couple of weeks it seems to frequently lose connection.
A message will pop up that it “cannot sign in” so she will press OK (the only
option available.
Then the following message will appear.

“To access your iTunes library on Apple TV, turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on
your computer using [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>”
(the name has been changed to protect the innocent).
But when I checked Home Sharing is ON.

If she turns a few things off and on (she says), and waits a while it may
reconnect.
But sometimes it does not. So then she waits till the next day to try again.

I have tried various things like turning Home Sharing OFF and back On.
Restarting the Apple TV.
Restarting the Modem.
Even restarting the iMac.

She did tell me that at one point yesterday her iPad had a message indicating
that iinet had an issue.
But this issue seems to me more like a home WiFi issue, rather than iinet.

Any ideas please folks ?
I think her music is giving her some solace after her recent loss.

Regards,
Stephen Chape
