TM Sparse bundle version:  After failed verification all history is lost and a 
new backup created.  If the history is valuable then editing of the sparse 
bundle may be warranted. I understand it is possible but it is not simple.  I 
didn’t save the corrupted file.

TM Backups.backupdb version: Data looks as if it could be easily edited to 
remove single or multiple days. I did not investigate the process for doing 
this.
