Another way to also change it. When you have a “blank” page open (and you can see the line “Search or enter website name”, if you click on the search magnifying glass thing to the left of this, you’ll get a drop down menu. You can change here. Otherwise it’s Safari menu - Preferences - Search. “Search engine”. Then choose from the drop down menu you want.
Some times websites will change the search for you (or ask you if you want to go to this page, without you realising it’s meaning it’s going to change it. And some software can also ask if you want to change it as well, as part of the install of the software. Malware can also do it as well sometimes - though normally won’t change it to Bing, it will change it some other weird search engine or “tracking” website.
