Hi
I have a red circle with a 1 in it on my System Preferences on my MacBookPro,
on going into preferences this symbol is on the iCloud icon in there.
I clicked onto this and it asked for my Apple ID and Password, on supplying
this the computer thought for a while and then went back to the Apple ID screen
again. I re entered my ID and Password again and got the same result!
I used the ‘Forgot Apple ID or password’ option and reset my password.
Back to the iCloud icon in System Preferences (which still had the red circle
with the 1 in it) and was asked for my Apple ID and Password, when supplied
with that it thought for a while again and then reset to ask for Apple ID and
Password again.
I have done this several times to ensure that all was entered correctly, but no
change.
I can access the App Store with the new Apple ID and Password no problem.
If it was just in the System Preferences I would/could just leave it but it
pops up on my screen regularly.
I don’t actually use iCloud, so loss of any information is not a worry, just
the annoying pop up and of course curiosity?
I have made no changes to the computer that I’m aware of.
I would appreciate any thoughts?
Kind regards
Peter
