Hi John & all, Short of buying a new scanner, if your Canon TS6060 is still working you could use the venerable VueScan software which covers virtually all scanners you can think of. I have checked VueScan for its Canon Driver and the TS6060 is in their list.
I have been using VueScan for many years now and it has worked with all my previous scanners without fail. The software is regularly updated. Kind regards, Philippe dit la Grenouille ...🐸 (Philippe Chaperon) On 29 May 2020, at 4:41 pm, Stephen Chape <[email protected]> wrote: Hi John. This sounds familiar to me. I had a Canon printer until about 18 months ago. Then suddenly it would no longer scan. I spent a lot of time trying to rectify the issue. I eventually emailed Canon. They told me that they were no longer updating software for that printer. So it was no longer keeping up with the Mac OS updates. So I bought an Epson printer which I have used ever since. > On 29 May 2020, at 3:03 pm, Neil Houghton <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > > Hi John, Hi Alan, > > Yes, like Alan, I also use Image Capture for both scanning and importing > photos from my iPhone. > > I find Image capture works well with an old HP PhotoSmart multifunction > printer. > > Occasionally the HP gets "lost" from the "Devices" sidebar and the main > window shows "No camera or scanner connected". > > Then I may need to connect/disconnect the USB connection and/or switch the > device On/Off but, eventually, I always get it recognised again and then > scanning proceeds as normal. > > HTH > > > Cheers > > > > Neil > > > > > > On 29/05/20, 13:34, "[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]> on behalf of Alan > Smith" <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]> on behalf of > [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > > Hi John > > A possible work around.
