I am still counting two copies of the same file (unless user changes
one - but then the user first has to understand that he should  change
the one in ~/.warzone2100/, and not the other one). So it would at
least have to bear another name.

You are right that keeping a default file in the code is not clean,
which is why I said it was a "quick hack". Is it so ugly that we
should wait for someone to code something cleaner before we add the
music?
