Yeah--if I can get net access again to make a correct patch. In init.c, 329 & 374, just change tmpstr to point to that full path, then do PHYSFS_addToSearchPath( tmpstr, PHYSFS_APPEND ), flanked by OS_X guards. Don't forget to remove those as well, in the correct area.
