It has probably already been discussed, but I wasn't able to find such a discussion. Neither was I able to find official ASF policy on the matter, but I may just have been looking in the wrong place. How does ASF look at the usage of an external service for version control. In other words, do they mind if - for example - the repository is hosted at github instead of their own infrastructure?
