They did a really funny send-off of TAGS with chimps. The writers must have been fans of TAGS since the Gomer character came in with a bucket on his head and the Andy character had a wig just like Andy's real hair. It was a hoot! With the rapid growth of the WBMUTBB Internet chapter and the resulting larger volume of postings, it was inevitable that something would have to be done to streamline the process. Allan is to be commended for devoting so much of his time (without compensation!) to keeping our little town of Mayberry running smoothly and pleasantly. His influence will continue to be felt in the digest but maybe now he will get to spend a little more time with his wife and son. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Nov 1999 00:29:24 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Dentist in Mayberry I do remember that Thelma Lou had a dentist appt. in Mt. Pilot that see wanted Barney to take her to and he was too busy and he asked Gomer to take her. So apparently they did not have a dentist in Mayberry at that time. I have asked this question before and I didn't get an answer, so I will ask it again. On the episode where Barney gives Andy and Helen a day to themselves, the credits list a "wormster." Now I assume this is the title for the game warden and maybe it's a regional thing or a joke or whatever. But I have never heard of a "wormster" so could someone clue me in? Thanks a bunch. On the first episode, Opie's pets include a snake, and a dog named Guliver. I also believed he had a lizard. Laura Lee Hobbs and Lydia (I hate cats and dogs. I don't mind a well- managed and quite parrakeet. But I hate cats and dogs. Laura Lee Hobbs, gold truck watcher, and lover of all pets except snakes 'cause God never intended for those things to be anybody's pets I hate 'em. I hate, hate, hate, snakes. Them's the devil's creatures. ------------------------------ End of wbmutbb-digest V1 #4 *************************** ******************************************************** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Visit our sponsor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Weaver's Dept.
