Hey Charlie, ya stumped me on that Gomer one! Good job!~MissPoovey~ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Nov 1999 18:13:31 -0800 From: Bob Bravetti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: A word about voting Voting for your favorite TAGS episode is like subscribing to different religions: There is no right episode to vote for, nor is there a wrong one. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I hope we aren't gonna be reading a series of notes chastising what episode someone voted for, or what wasn't voted for. That's what makes this board great-keep it positive. - -Bob ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Nov 1999 21:13:52 -0500 (EST) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Just a suggestion I would like to make a suggestion: for those members who have a lot of HTML in the signature of their e-mail. Please send your submissions to the digest without all that HTML or MIME format. I dont know about anyone else, but it looks awful when I recieve it on Webtv. I have a lot of code on my e-mail but I delete it when I send in an entry. It makes it easier to read and download and doesn't clutter up the digest. I'm not trying to be bossy, just helpful, just like I imagine Miss Clara felt she was! ~MissPoovey~ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 15:36:46 -0800 (PST) From: Eric Lange <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Gift Horses Hello everyone, I want to say this just one time before we have beat the proverbial horse to death. There isn't a whole lot that aggrivates me these days - I'm getting too old for that, but I feel the need to say this. For those that have been unhappy with the changes, please attempt to do a better job yourselves. I, for one, don't have the time (or energy) to be as devoted to something like this as Allan has been, and he's done one HECK of a job. We should all count our blessings that someone has given of their time so all of us have a fun place to go. Jan should have NEVER felt the need to "defend" Allan - there is NOTHING to defend. How many wives, or husbands for that matter, would alllow their "other half" to give so much of their time to others - most of them stangers - and allowed him to do it out of his love for what Mayberry stands for. Speaking only for myself, I have had wonderful conversations with many memebers of WBMUTBB and have learned many things and feel I've made the aquaintance of some wonderful people. The whole point is this - and I'm SURE I'll be breaking Rule #2, but thats life - if you can do a better job, DO IT YOURSELF ! If the new layout doesn't meet your approval and all you can do is complain, I would just as soon you DID cancel your subscription and find another site to write in your complaints. I would certainly rather read about Mayberry than your ungrateful comments. As for the rest of you - thanks for your support of Allan - we all owe him a large debt of gratitude. And also to people like Paul Mulik and Jim Clark and the rest of you who have contibuted so nicely to the digest. Sorry for the ramblings - I'm done now. Eric Lange (NOTE FROM ALLAN: Thank you for the defense, Eric but to tell you all the truth...I've not had THAT many folks complaining. We've had several folks leave us (almost 50 so far) but that's okay. Lot's of folks don't like change and I understand that 100%. I still won't buy stamps from that machine. Ha ha.... Really, you don't have to do it yourselves and you can rest assured that I will still be doing "my job" here at the Digest to not let Rule #2 get broken. Eric...you may have pushed Rule #2 about keeping things positive a LONG way here but I'm letting it through so I can thank all of you for your support and to ask that we now just let this issue fall behind us and move on to talk about our wonderful town of Mayberry!! You guys are the best and I'm gonna be moderating for a while to get our discussion back on track. Thanks again. -- Allan) ------------------------------ End of wbmutbb-digest V1 #16 **************************** ************************************************** ~ Visit our sponsor ~ Weaver's Department Store ~ http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/weavers/ ************************************************** To remove yourself from the WBMUTBB Digest mailing list send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe wbmutbb-digest
