I was in a local Wal-Mart, and they have a boxed set of 5 (I believe) TAGS.
They run $19.99, but I don't know about the quality of the tapes or the
individual episodes they contain.

Has anyone purchased this set, and is it worth the money.

Thanks.

Gomer left Thelma Lou's house so rudely because he had to go find a corsage
for Mary Beth. "Sorry it took me so long, but it took me a while to find
something with pink in it". "Huh?". "well, I noticed that all the other
ladies had flowers." "Is that why you left so quickly"? "Gosh, Mary Beth,
you can't go to the dance unadorned".

On the episode "Convicts at large" when Floyd and Sally were out getting
groceries Floyd talked to Andy. Then after Floyd and Sally went on back to
O'Malleys cabin, Andy then sees O'Malley getting off the bus from Detroit,
kind of strange O'Malley got off the bus right at that time.

RE: Karen Bice's salaries question

I don't know how much Ange and Barn would have made, but it could not have
been much. Keep in mind it was almost 40 years when the show started.
Then, take cues from the show: Barn's room was only $6/week, a can of
veggies was about 10 cents, lunch at the diner was about $1.25, etc.

Karen: yes, I recall your illness a few years ago and am glad to see you
seem to be okay now!

Hello folks,

I just wanted to recommend that if you are planning on ordering something
from Weaver's this Christmas you do it now. Don't wait until the last
minute. It takes time to get your order delievered and you wouldn't want to
miss getting your gifts delivered on time. I hope that doesn't sound too
pushy...if there's one thing I hate, it's a pushy salesman.

Hot Items at Weaver's:

* 40th Anniversary Mayberry Calendar
* Barney and/or Andy & Opie wrist watches
* Mayberry Alarm Clock
* Limited edition mugs
* Mayberry Trivia Game
* and more!! (check the "What's New" area for more)

Always remember that Weaver's is actually The Andy Griffith Show Rerun
Watchers Club headquarters online store so your purchases help support
TAGSRWC.

The best deal is that Shipping and Handling is ONLY $4 PER ORDER. The more
you order the more you save on shipping.

I always wondered about the phone at Andy's house. It is a normal looking
phone with a place for a rotary dial, but there is no dial. Andy just picks
it up and talks to Sarah. Why would phone companies make a phone with a
place for a dial if you didn't have to ever dial?

Hey folks,

I've added a new section to the TAGSRWC web site. It's called Mayberry Fan
Fiction and it features stories written by members of WBMUTBB about our
friends in Mayberry. Right now there are 4 scripts online and I have two more
from Joe to add as soon as I'm able.

Drop by and check em out. They're all fun to read!!! You'll find them by
clicking the "Mayberry Fan Fiction" link right there on the front of the
TAGSRWC web site on Mayberry.com.

There are 2 Christmas stories for you to read and they're both worth reading.

Enjoy!!!

For those of you who donated to the Hurricane Floyd Relief Fund, I have a
heart wrenching story to pass on to you.
We received a Chirstmas Card from a friend of my wife. She states:
"I lost my brother in October. He lost everything he had in the
floods..nothing left. The stress was too much for him."

That explains why help was so urgently needed. Those who have never seen a
flood cannot understand what they are like. Or a hurricane. Much devastation.
Fran left the city of Raleigh pretty bad when it came through. Over 300,000
dumptruck loads of debris hauled off. Hurricane Floyd did much worse to the
folks down east and also in Southeastern VA.

Thank you again for the help you gave. Now, with Christmas coming, please
give to Toys for Tots so these kids who think Santa has forgotten them can
have a special time. Mayberry always comes through in time of need. Let's do
it one more time!!

Thanks, Mayberryites!

That's from episode #103, "Opie's Ill-gotten Gain."

Too bad they didn't have Schoolhouse Rock when Barney was growing up!

Has anyone notice a door beside cell number 2 (as Barney would put it) I
wonder whets behind that door?>

Dan,
In the first season or two that door wasnt even there, then it appeared
after an apparent remodeling of the set. I've only seen the door opened
one time and that was by Andy when he was putting a broom and dustpan away.
 It must be a broom closet.
