This internet chapter is a wonderful tool for bringing people together in a wholesome forum and we are very thankful for it, and for Allan who keeps it all together..........Peace.........Dave & Pattie( Chapter Leaders). ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Dec 1999 01:33:44 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: 100 worst moments of the century in entertainment Knight Ridder reporter Roger Moore -- in a recent column on the 100 worst moments of the century in entertainment -- included one dear to our hearts. In addition to the movie "Ishtar," Milli Vanilli's lip syncing expose and OJ's famous Bronco ride, Moore chose "Don Knotts leaves 'The Andy Griffith Show' " as a low moment in entertainment history. Even though I hate to see our Barney lumped in with those other things, I think Moore was right. M(ayb)erry Christmas! .... Non other than Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer from the Little Rascals. I love the bridge tender's response to Clarence's comment about committing suicide: "Oh it's against the law to commit suicide around here." Have a fun Christmas ya'll....Al Becker ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Dec 1999 08:31:34 -0500 From: "Tanya" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: wbmutbb-digest V1 #45 Crazy about TV - is this the Ken Junkin profile of "The Fan" from Mayberry Days. Hope someone is taping. I'd love to see David Browning's piece. Hope all have a Merry Christmas. Love, Tanya (NOTE FROM ALLAN: Hey Tanya....no...I don't think that's the film on Kenneth. I talked to him last week and he said that hasn't come out yet. Should be next fall. For those that don't know, a film crew followed TAGS fan Kenneth Junkin around from his home in Gordo, AL to Mayberry Days 98. They were doing a story on the biggest TAGS fan and they picked Kenneth to represent us all!!! It should be great and rest assured I'll pass along info on when it'll air as soon as we know something. -- Allan) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Dec 1999 12:36:43 -0800 From: Marcia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: to everyone ... Dear Friends, One of my new "paid to surf" type toys gives you a point for reading little quips every now and then, and just now one popped up that I believe in so totally, and felt compelled to make it a part of a holiday email. In life we always talk about our priorities, and how we wish we had time for this or that. In the process, we often let friendships slide or fade away, or let things we love go unattended to. It's sad, actually, because our world is one full of choices and we make those choices each and every day we take another breath. Anywho .... a Merry Christmas to all and for the new year may we all do more than simply remember this simple thought -- may we live by it: You will never have time for anything. If you want time, you must make it. Make time for those you love and care for, and for those things which are important to you. You do have control!
