I just caught an error in that last message I sent about Angela Cartwright being in TAGS. Angela Cartwright hasn't been in TAGS as far as I know. I was mistaking her for Joy Ellison who played Lester Scoby and Sam Muggins' daughter Mary. Sorry about that. As Barney would say, "Well, they know what I mean." Below is a note I just got from our favorite TAGS writer's, Harvey Bullock, daughter!! You'll want to read this one and share in being thankful that Harvey is back home!! - -------- Dear Mr. Newsome, My Dad is home from the hospital. He came home the 23rd and I've never been happier. He and I will write again later but I wanted to tell you he is home and doing very well. I don't want to speak for him but I can speak for myself and say that it was helfpful, uplifting, and downright sweet to receive letters of encouragement from almost complete strangers. What a wonderful virtual Mayberry you'all have created on the internet. Thank you for the wonderful support your community provided my family during times of need. Thank you again, Courtney Bullock - ------- This is wonderful Christmas news for the Mayberry family and I want to thank Courtney for letting us know. I have several cards that you folks mailed to me that will be forwarded along to Harvey...even though they will not get to him in the hospital, I'm SURE that he will be encouraged by your thoughts and prayers. Thank to you all of you for making our little corner of Mayberry such a SPECIAL place!!! Angela Cartwright is probably best known for her work on "Lost in Space," but she never appeared on TAGS. - --Paul ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Dec 1999 09:26:04 -0500 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Pickups and Splashes from Floor and Pool It was a special treat to catch the Frosty the Snowman cartoon sequel (didn't catch the name) featuring the narration, singing and animated depiction of our own Andy Griffith. I think someone mentioned it earlier but it went over my head. I just happened to stumble across it watching shows on Fox Family channel with my daughter. Very Cool. It just didn't seen like Christmas Eve, without the live airing of the Griffith Christmas Story. We have a local station here in Indy that is still airing, but they showed some other episode. Looking forward to the TAGS Marathon and the TVLand kickoff. 10 o'clock sounds like a great time slot so all us workin' stiffs can watch it around the country at the same time. Get Well Soon Mr. Bullock. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Dec 1999 07:02:11 -0800 (PST) From: Darryl Banks <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: wbmutbb-digest V1 #47 In response to the "favorite TV actress poll"... That ain't Angela Cartwright playing Lester Scoby's little girl (Make room for Daddy was already a household staple, Lost in Space (with a teenage Angela Cartwright) was only a couple years away, and there's no rider in black on a white horse travelling north to south (oops...that's another missive)). Maybe if you watch the TBS telethon this weekend, you'll see where you're mistaken. Mary Muggins/Scoby was played by ...someone else...don't remember her name, but Paul knows. There has been so much talk about voting and polls lately, that I hesitate to say this, but I created a freevote booth a few weeks ago. It's something near and dear to my heart: travel! You select your favorite vacation or tourist spots. http://www.freevote.com/booth/vacations The current selections have a definite northeast and southwest bias, because that's where I travel most, but feel free to suggest your favorite places. Note that the list can include tourist attractions that no longer exist or places that only ever existed on TV, radio or in the movies. Yes, that means that Myers Lake IS listed. Have a look. I hope you enjoy it.
