WGN is indeed still showing TAGS locally in the Chicago area from 5-6 a.m.
weekdays...and it's doing well in that timeslot with Mayberry early birds, so
I hear. (Wynken told Blynken, Blynken told Nod, Nod told WGN promo man Craig
Nowack, and Craig told me.)

If you are interested in getting the yellow police tape to use as a
border you may want to try www.galls.com and do a search using "barrier
tape" they will sell some items to non-police personnel. It is $9.99
for 1000 ft and they have several different wordings to choose from!

Although DVD is a great video source, don't count on the TAGS episodes
being any better than the several "box sets" circulating. The DVD's
I've seen use the same old public domain episodes. Now, if a reputable
company like Columbia House was doing TAGS on DVD, That would be a good
thing.

A few years from now if future DVD's use a violet laser, they should be
able to get all 249 episodes on about 4 discs!

Hi Everybody,
I was sitting at the computer last week going through the Mayberry.com
webpage, while the rest of the family was watching Dick Clark's bloopers
show on TV, and suddenly I had a thought. Does anybody know if there are
any blooper reels available from TAGS? Given the way everybody talks
about the fun-loving, easy-going atmosphere on the set, I'm sure any
out-takes from TAGS would be hilarious.
Also, I neglected to mention in my introduction a few weeks ago that I
do a pretty good impression of Gomer, and a decent Floyd impression too.
I even used them in some radio commercials several years ago... just in
case anybody's interested. Shazaaaaaaaam!

Hey Folks,

I just got this note from Harvey Bullock, our favorite writer from The Andy
Griffith Show and WBMUTBB member!! Harvey is doing better but I'd like for
all of us to make sure we keep him on our prayer lists because, as his note
tells us, he just go out of another stay at the hospital.

Y'all be sure to take a minute and tell Harvey "hey" if you have a chance.
Just email me at:

Our favorite extra, Johnny Coons, was caught outside Wilbur Finch's hotel
room standing in the audition line. And I didn't even know Johnny could
play or sing. This multi-faceted entertainer never ceases to amaze me!
