Allan is right about the poll. It means nothing if you can vote more than
once. Most of the votes for I Dream of Jeannie came from one person who is
most likely subscribed to AOL. I did a test and found out that I could
switch my screen names back and forth and vote quite a bit. In fact, I
stopped counting the votes I placed after I reached over 150 votes! This
would explain Jeannie's rapid rise to the top as well as other shows like
Land of Giants and now the A-Team. So what good is your vote when someone
with no life stays online all night long voting over and over to put their
show at #1.
Just my two cents worth.

Thanks Doug for those examples of Johnny Coons' voice; I'll hafta' go
back and check them out if I have those whole episodes or watch for them
on TVLand! Also, thanks to Gloria for the squad car info; I'm visiting
ToysRUs soon!
Not to squelch anybody's fun in voting on the internet, but I have to
agree with Allan; getting to vote every day several times kinda' puts a
dent in the thrill of victory. We know in our hearts TAGS is THE BEST
and with all the publicity it's gotten lately, I think everyone out there
has gotten the message. No offense to anybody, honest.

Was that "Sleepy Hollow" Andy was reading to Opie? I can't think of the
author; I'm wanting to say Nathaniel Hawthorne but I don't think that's
correct. We should all have that sentence down pat after hearing it so
many times but I'll be hanged if I can recite it right now! Guess I'm
like Barney with the preamble, huh?! Aunt Bee of Orlando

Re Johnny Lightening cars:
I found mine "serendipitously" at the CVS pharmacy in my hometown. You might
want to check it out if there's one near you. At our particular store, the
toys are in the back and not too picked over, so you just might find one
hanging up back there!
Lotsa luck to you and yours ...

Among the other scenes mentioned, didn't he have a few lines in the crowd
scene when Andy was trying to make Barney give himself a ticket in Citizen's
Arrest?

Well, one fan's confusion between Sterling Holloway and Jack Gilford
certainly got us on a non-TAGS tangent this past week. But, since Jack
Gilford was ("is" as far as I'm concerned) such a great talent, here's my two
cents:
Other than Cocoon, his best dramatic performance is opposite Jack Lemmon in Sa
ve the Tiger. Lemmon owes a great deal of his Oscar to Gilford's support.
Comedy? It doesn't get better than A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum, working with Phil Silvers, Zero Mostel and Buster Keaton!

I was just sitting here thinking, and if they ever wanted to film one
more episode, I'd like it to focus on Aunt Bee's past.
You know, she always wore a wedding ring. Now, I know this most likely
was the choice of the actress, Frances B., and had nothing to do with
the role of Aunt Bee who was always presented as the unmarried aunt of
Andy (his father's never married sister), but still there was always
such a sense of sadness to this lady. As if she carried inside her a broken
heart. And I kept thinking if she could only share it with someone, maybe it
wouldn't hurt her so much, but she just never could
or never would.
But maybe with an older Opie or Opie's wife. I could understand why she
wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with Andy, and I'd never have her share
anything with Helen. But The Good Lord would surely have sent her someone
to ease her troubled mind! Anyway, it's just what I was here sitting
thinking, and if they ever wanted to film one more episode, I'd like
to think Aunt Bee found some peace.

In response to [EMAIL PROTECTED] comment on voting. I support CTmidway
on making those of us who want to vote easier by hyperlinking the URL for us.
It was my suggestion. Whether you have one vote or five, you can use them to
vote for other episodes as well. You don't have to use them all for TAGS. As
in any democracy, and as Barney would say"How did you vote Andy"it's all done
in the spirit of fun. Candidates lobby for votes when they are running for
office, what's wrong with that? You can vote or not vote as you wish, but
please do not put down someone else for expressing themselves or making it
easier for those of us who do. Let's not make a big issue out of this and
please don't spoil someone else's fun.......frankly, I'm glad I have the
oppurtunity to vote 5 times! Enough said! I enjoy the Digest, but I do not
enjoy Mayberryites stepping on others toes.
Thanks, and lots of luck to you and yers', In the spirit of fun, Diana

I think I have died and gone to epilogue heaven. TV Land is soooooooo
wonderful for always having them. While I know they are cutting some
things that usually weren't I will gladly trade that for an epilogue every
time. Thank you Thank you Thank you TV Land.
And Allan, it has been too long since last I thanked you. No matter how
long or hard my day has been. No matter how tired I might be, there is
always Andy mail waiting for me and always good things from good people to
read and boost my spirits. Thank you for this oasis.

Just a quick note about the Johnny Lightning cars: there were eight
different cars (different shows) in a set, but each car/show has 10
different *cards* that come with them (at least the TAGS cars do). I know
this because my husband and I finally got all ten different cards for our
collection. The eight shows represented are: Blues Bros. Police Vehicle,
Starsky & Hutch, Partridge Family, Monkee Mobile, Andy Griffith Police Car,
Back to the Future, Dragnet Car, Blues Bros. 2000 Vehicle.
