I believe the actress was Jean Hagen, and she so spell-bound Floyd, Barney, and little Opie (with a signed baseball) that when it came time to testify against her, they actually testified on her behalf. But in the end, she speeded out of Mayberry on purpose, causing Andy to give her another ticket, and then she paid for the first ticket that she really deserved. If anyone can give me the epilogue, I'd sure appreciate it. I don't believe I've ever seen it, even though it's one of the earlier shows. Carter with him, Vince probably would have been busy taking Myra Koonce to the floor show at the Gigolo Club in Yancey or perhaps for a beer at the Kit-Cat in Mt. Pilot, I'd think. =20 I hadn't seen the Gomer episode you mentioned in many years and just caught the end of it last night. I wasn't paying close attention (dirty me, dirty me, I'm disgusted with myself) , but it looked like the Taylor family returning was "implied" by a far shot of similar looking folks exiting the station wagon (where did that come from?) Gomer was leaving town on the bus. Did we get to see any Mayberry folks for real? No cast members were mentioned in the credits. He was a short man and wore the brim of his hat pushed back. I understand that he is an instructor at Southwest Texas State University. I gotta have the answer to this one. It's "preying" on my mind. In the episode "The Shoplifters," Barney calls Thelma Lou to tell her he can't make it "tonight" 'cause he's got police business. (He's planning to stake out Weaver's to nab whoever's coming in there at night.) Thelma Lou says something to him and he responds (angrily), "No, it's got nothing to do with trash cans!" Maybe there was something cut from earlier in that episode that would give his comment meaning. Can anyone help? And while you're sitting there thinking with that bucket on your head, tell me what the epilogue was to the episode in which Opie finds Parnell Rigsby's wallet with $50 in it. I can't sleep at night wondering! Karen "Parnell! Parnell!"
