The Waltons picture of Elizabeth with a string of fish is a still drawing.
The one where Opie is carrying a string of fish and a fish falls off is the
ending credits of later TAGS episodes. Not only does the fish fall off, but
he picks it up and wipes it on his pants.

Howdy, Helen!
Even though I travel, I don't recall much TAGS watching on the road, but...
While at MD99, I went to Andy's home-stead (the ol' house) and even though
the furniture is not
the same he sat on, I watched TAGS on the TV there in his house. It was
like the "Count" was
in the house!
Here's my suggestion - it's a bit different (and I'd REALLY like to go to
the Bahamas, but got other
plans first) and something I think you might be able to pull off...see if
you can't "see" Andy at Mt. Airy...

Subject: TAGS in Denver
To all TAGS fans in the Denver area,
If, like me, you do not have cable, there is still a lot of Andy on
the TV. UPN20 must be getting good results from their showing of TAGS
because now they use it in almost all their "empty spots," like before or
after Nuggets and Avs games. Sunday, they had four episodes on during the
afternoon! OK, so they are chopped up, but even an incomplete Andy is
better than anything else on TV. Channel 53 here also shows Andy at 5:30,
so watch it when you get home from work!

|Well, now, after I wrote that the ending with Opie dropping his fish stringer,
that begin to bother me! Yes, I do remember an ending where he dropped his
stringer,
but I also remember the little redhead on Waltons dropping something. I COULD
NOT GET TO SLEEP LAST NIGHT....TRYING TO REMEMBER WHICH IT WAS.....SEEMS LIKE
THIS 50 YEARS OLD BRAIN DID REMEMBER THAT ENDING. But, if I did remember it,
where was it all week-end????? Thanks to a helpful member of the fan club, in
today's letter (tuesday) I have the answer. NOW, I CAN GET SOME SLEEP! WE all
make mistakes, and I will admit it. we love ya, tags and wbmutbb!

Howdy Andy Fan's,
Has anyone ever noticed in "the pickle story" episode, Andy and Barney put
store bought pickles in Aunt Bee's jars, and put Aunt Bee's pickles in store
bought jars. When Barney is out on the highway, giving away Aunt Bee's
pickles, they are in canning jars! In caught this because I am a "trained
noticer"!

Hey folks. I just wanted to say something about the episode's that
have been airing on TVland. Now I know I've not posted on this in
forever, so I appologise if this topic has already been brought
up, (which it probably has).
But I can not BELIEVE the amount of footage that they are CUTTING
from each episode. I mean, it's wonderful having the original endings
because there are still many of those I never have seen before, making every
episode have something new for me, which is great. But at times they take
out SO much, where it almost dosent make any sense.
Like the other day, in the episode where Andy takes his vacation, and
Barney & Gomer's prisoner escapes. They cut out the scene where Barny &
Gomer all of a sudden move up to the window and Gomer ask for an apple,
reviewling their hands are locked together.
I feel REALLY strongly about this, and I think we should even start
writing TVland.com and comment on it. They are taken out too much of the
best scenes.

I caught "Aunt Bee's Romance" on TVLand last night, and marveled at the
writing. The compelling scene on the porch between Roger (Wallace Ford) and
Andy is carried almost entirely by subtext. They're saying one thing, but
meaning quite another, and the tension is palpable. A real chess game of
words. And what a great, cryptic line Mr. Bullock provided for Roger - "I
may have my hands in those petunias yet!" as he goes in to propose to Aunt
Bee.
Great writing, great acting. "Hang it on the wall"

On one of the epidodes during the marathon I noticed that Andelina(not
sure of spelling) , daughter of Charlene and Dud, had a middle name also.
This might be a good trivia question!

I LOVED IT!!!! I am one of the unfortunate fans without TV Land. But, I do
have Andy, Monday - Saturday at 10:00 pm to get my nightly dose of Andy.
It's been part of the daily happening's for my boyfriend and I for three
years and we've both loved Andy all of our lives.
This was an EXCELLENT antidote to missing this weekend's Andyathon! Thank
you SO Much, Joe, for a most enjoyable digest and read!

| You all were so right about Opie dropping that string of fish; and, people
have been writing to tell me so. OOps! A little lesson I have learned; (I am
new to computers):
once you have composed a letter or comment to the wbmutbb newsletter and clicked
on send.... you can not ever retrieve it or un-do it. It's gawn, gawn, gawn,
and you'll have to eat your words, if you are wrong.I'd rather be eating some
of that strawberry cobbler some restaurant friends of ours in Branson serve.
The people here in the wbmutbb family are so very nice. This is a family I
am recommending to all my email friends.|

I got a call from my Pastor yesterday and he asked me to teach one of the
TAGS Bible Study lessons next Wednesday. We are scheduled for the full
compliment or lessons beginning in October, but this will be our first time
out. I'm going to do my personal favorite episode - Opie's Charity. You'd
be surprised how much theology there is in "Poor Horatio."
