They are Jamie Farr (one TAGS episode and Klinger on "M*A*S*H") and Barbara Stuart (one TAGS episode and Miss Bunny on "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.). One or two other stars with military and Mayberry connections might also be confirmed before the event. The event is two days this year, Sat. and Sun., July 1 and 2. Both stars will appear both days. The location of the Military Rendezvous is 7835 North Rangeline Road in Covington, Ohio. (This a different location than that of the Wally's re-creation of previous Rendezvous events.) See the current issue of The Bullet and the tagsrwc web site for more details and directions. Information about the sponsoring hotel and the special Rendezvous room rate will be posted next week. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2000 19:09:40 EDT From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: wbmutbb-digest V2 #131 To: Hull, Darrin Hey there, I'm strictly speaking from an acting point of view that I don't believe anyone will capture what they had on the show. Certainly good clean material can be used but I'm thinking about chemistry and comedic timing evident on the old TAGS. That's all I was driven at. There will be no Andy shows there, from what I gather, so I will miss the best part of the day! Keep the home fars aburnin' til I get my feets back in the good ole US of A. I thought the reason for posting the phone number and appearance date for Don Knotts at Borders books was so we could phone and order a signed book. I guess that information was just for the fans who are able to get there in person, 'cause I tried to order a book and was told they won't have one signed and ship it to me. Are there any stores that will fill orders this way? Does anyone know other bookstores where Don will be signing? I'll be glad to give them a call and try to order one, if I can get information about where and when he will be signing. Do you suppose I just talked to the wrong person? Sweetly Disposed ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2000 13:49:52 -0500 From: David Millard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Mayberry Remake I'm not sure how happy I would be with a remake of TAGS for the Big Screen unless it was done with the utmost care taken to insure what we've all grown to love. Tim Allen is a fine actor who has done many great movies & could probably handle the Andy Taylor role, so it could be either be a great tribute to TAGS or a total disaster.....I guess time will tell. Hey just a note to, to let you all know we have a website in the works for our chapter here in New Philadelphia, Ohio.......more info about how to access it as we get it up & running........Lotsa Luck to You & Yours.........Dave ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2000 15:41:32 CST From: "jim and sheila henderson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: TAGS scenery on old star treks | |some one has written about seeing tags scenery, buildings, etc. on a few old Star Trek shows; no wonder....Desilu filmed the early Star Trek shows. And, somebody correct me please, some of the oldest black and white Twilight Zones were filmed at the old studios that Desilu bought...was it carnuga or something like that? That would explain some of the old tags scenery being on the oldest Twilight Zone shows. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2000 21:24:06 EDT From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: It's BIG!! Hey Gang, Big news! Gomer's girlfriend, LuAnn Poovey, is coming to town!!!
