Subject: WBMUTBB T-shirts. Sweatshirts & Mousepads

Hey Folks,

Well, we don't have much time left for folks to order their tees and
sweatshirts. I'm gonna delay just a little so I can see if we can get a few
more orders. I think (Jan's the one that'll know) that we needed an order of
100 tees and right now we only have 59 tees ordered.

If you would like a tee or a sweatshirt, please get your order emailed to me
ASAP then drop the check in the mail. If you've already ordered and haven't
mailed the check to me, get that in the mail too. I'll be cashing the checks
in the next week or two so we can get the order started. I'm holding the
checks until the order is actually placed with the T-shirt place.

The mouse pads are in "pre production" mode right now. The design can be seen
on the front page of the TAGSRWC web site. We can all thank WBMUTBB members
Dennis & Tamie Atkins for that wonderful design!!!! I'm checking into the
possibility of getting that design on the back of the tees and sweatshirts as
well but the cost *might* be too great. I'll be able to let you know more on
that in the next day or two.

Right now, we'll hold off on orders for the mouse pads and I'll let you know
as soon as we have 'em. Dennis says we should be able to see the demo of the
pad in just a few days. IT'S BIG!!!

In the mean time, get the orders for the shirts in to me ASAP. Just go here
and fill out the form.

Thanks folks! I know you'll like 'em and it makes it lots more fun at events
being able to spot other WBMUTBB members.

Hey Folks,

Good News! VW Boy Larry McPeak has made the liver transplant list! That
means with the help of kind folks like you who sent in donations, $35,000 has
been raised to get him on the list.

We still need your help though. An additional $165,000 must be raised to pay
for the transplant and for medicines he will need.

We are trying to put together something at our Mayberry at MeadowView show in
June. Maybe another auction for him or something. Anybody got any ideas?

Larry sends his sincere thanks to those who sent donations and to those who
send good wishes.

We ask that you keep Larry in your prayers. Send in a dollar or two if you
can. He is a very special person and we love him dearly. Through God all
things are possible.

Thanks again,

Gary

Hey To All,

I noticed this too and I also used this method for taping the "China Beach"
episodes. They jumped around too even though they numbered in order. I
personally came my own conclusion that maybe the numbers being listed for
these episode may not be true show numbers as they were filmed but maybe
numbers in how the episodes that were airing ranked. 1 being the most voted
then down the list. There were epsiodes in the China Beach weekend that a
character would either die or leave then a few episodes down the tvland
journey, they would be back and working in China Beach as nothing happened.

I know the fandemonium weekend were to show and air the episodes as voted by
the fans. I can't recall them promoting a 1 episode by 1 episode from the
beginning method for the weekends. I have seen it done though on other
stations and that would be something BIG for TVLand to think about now that
Fandemonium is over with. Now wouldn't that be a really BIG weekend!!

Okay so while the subject is TVLand...I have read the discussion over b&w or
color episodes (I take partial to the b&w ones myself) but I would like to
know, does anyone know if TVLand will get back to the b&w episodes??

Well gotta take the Aunt Bee pickle inventory....maybe someone sat down to
enjoy one this weekend with their Sunday dinner!

Hey To All,
I was pondering this one Allan, two weeks ago on a weekend I saw an old b&w
episode on the UPN station here in Nashville. There wasn't anything on at
that particular time of interest to me so I was making one flip through the
stations before I decided to do something else and there was TAGS! I thought
everyone lost the rights.... I rubbed my eyes and it was still there!

Maybe too many Pickles for me??

Anybody ever notice in the episode where Jeff Pruitt is in town to pick
a wife that when Barney, Andy & Jeff are over at Thelma Lou's, Thelma
Lou leaves the room to get coffee
and then the next thing you see is Thelma Lou serving coffee (she walks
past Jeff, Andy & Barney) on her way TO the kitchen, but she just
re-appears in the room (cause you never see her her come back by the
men, and with the camera angles you'd see her if she walked back in) ..
almost as intriguing as the McAllister case.

I was wondering if the fabled singles cut for the Capitol label with The
Dillards and Griffith were real. I am putting up TAGS website with a
Dillards section so I am trying to get discography info for both them and
Griffith. If anyone can help, send along scans of reel to
reels,cassettes,8tracks,LPs whatever. I'd like to get ahold of Dillards on
the 8Track and reel to reel (and LP) formats.

If anyone can help, contact me.

Re: Aunt Bee and her new found money & Al Becker and his rare nickel

Dear Aunt Bee,
Al Becker...Al Becker...No, I don't recall knowing anybody by that name.
But now Laura Lee Hobbs, why THERE'S a name EVERYBODY knows and knows you
can trust! So, what to do with your new found riches, what to do?
You could buy Al Becker's nickel with your new money, but of course you'd be
taking a chance with a fellow not many people know, OR you could do what me
and Lydia and all my friends do and that is Gold Truck Investing! That way
your money is as safe as a sleeping baby in a mother's arms. Just mail me
all your winnings (and any future winnings as I'll be praying for ya) and
I'll take the worry and hassle off of your mind and put it right onto my
mind and treat (I mean invest) that money just like it was my own! And since
you belong to the Digest and Allan prohibits selling stuff anyway, I ain't
gonna charge you for it.
(Sorta like Barney and the pea in the whistle.)
I've always loved you, Aunt Bee of Orlando, and felt a real sisterhood
with you, and now with this Gold Truck Investment deal, I feel a real
closeness coming on. How about it, Sister? There's nothing like a little
money put in a sure investment to get the closeness started. But now, if
investing is too risky for your blood, you can always come to Ozark and go
wild at the dime store. We sell everything your heart could desire and more.
If Hobbs don't have it, you don't need it, that's our saying. Your
Mayberry pal in the sisterhood of Gold Truck Investing or dime store
spending, Laura Lee Hobbs

Hi,

A friend and I are motoring (happily I am sure) to Mt. Airy for the weekend
and are interested in dining at a steak house either in Mt. Airy or nearby.
Has anyone got any suggestions for me?

In order to keep the bulletin board reasonably clear of clutter, you can
email me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks, and as always, blessings to you and yours....

As I was reading the book A Wildflower In My Heart I was so surprised to
read, in one of the chapters, the two main male characters were testing each
other on their TAGS knowledge. And they agreed that Barney was their favorite.

I only recently subscribed to the digest and must say that I have not enjoyed
interactions more than those of us who are TAGS fans. I watch the show every
time it comes on TV Land and would really enjoy another 48 hour marathon.
Does
anyone know if another is scheduled any time in the near future? I'd like to
get
my VCR ready.

Regarding a movie, I do not think that the original actors can ever be
challenged. They had a chemistry that made the show "real". I say "if it
ain't
broke, don't fix it".

Thanks.
