Daddy...you are sooooo right!! Jeff is a great guy and we're lucky to have
him with us here at WBMTUBB. The nice thing is that Jeff doesn't even live
in Surry County but yet he works hard to help them!

<< I can't remember if the following has ever been addressed, but I will
ask it anyway. When Andy went to Sam Becker's to help deliver the baby, I
am assuming he took the squad car. That being the case, how did Barney
manage to get out to the farm in all the rain. It is apparent that he went
all alone. Also in the same episode, Barney had just hung up on the phone
when Andy made a call and in doing so he apologized to Sarah for waking her
up. She must really be able to get to bed and fall asleep fast, if she was
already sleeping when Andy called. Just something to think about.

I think you are being maybe a little too analytical here Kenneth. Remember we

Here's one to ponder - The Darlings always drove their pick-up to town, Andy
and Barney drove the squad car to the Darlings, Charlene hitch-hiked to town

did a lot of walking........I guess that's why he was so "healthy"!

I think we've already covered Anita's passing back on November 6, 1995 of
cancer but let me address the "Andy Rumor."
The ONLY place I've heard anything about this rumor is here on the Digest so
let's STOP this one before it spreads. If and when I ever get information
about Andy...you'll all be the first to know. I believe this is just a rumor
and as far as I know, Andy's doing fine and is enjoying his birthday month.

Aneta Corsaut passed away November 1995 at age 62 after a long battle with
Cancer. She passed away in Studio City, CA. I have her obituary with the
details of where she is buried somewhere. I always wanted to visit the grave
site as I corresponded with Aneta the last 3 years of her life but never had
the pleasure to meet her.

The recent discussion of Sarah and Juanita never being seen on TAGS make me
"thank": how many other TV characters were referenced, and perhaps even
heard, but never shown?
I can think of two: Carlton the Doorman on "Rhoda" (the character was voiced
by Lorenzo Music, also the voice of TV's Garfield) and Maris, Niles's
Crane's ex-wife on "Frasier."
Can anyone think of any others?

I just had to write and tell what my niece said; I thought it was so cute.
Of course, I may be prejudice, because she is my niece, but I think you all
will agree.
Momma was reading LeAnne a book about a caterpillar that goes through all the
stages of his life. At the end, there is a picture of a beautiful butterfly
and it reads, "Surprise." Daddy was sitting in the room, while they were
reading. When they got to that part of the book, he chimed in, "Surprise,
surprise, surprise," in his best Gomer voice. LeAnne, who is 2 years old,
true to her Mayberry heritage, answered back...in her best Gomer voice,
"Well, golllleeee!!" Did she enjoy the laughs she got for that one!!!
Hope you all have a good week!!

Subject: TAGS Stamps
It was my understanding that stamps honoring a PERSON like a president or
something could not be done until the person was deceased. However, I think
stamps honoring a character such as Barney or Andy Taylor is allowed. Im not
positive but I remember there were a couple of stamps done that honored
characters and not the real person and the person was still alive. Ill have
to look that one up.

While not exactly unseen since if memory serves me correctly, we saw the
car, in the series "My mother the car" I believe the voice was that of
Ann Southern , playing mom to Jerry Van Dyke. If I'm wrong, I'll have
to get the old bucket out & do some more thinking.

Hi guys,
I could think of a few more unseen characters...from M*A*S*H: Mrs. Potter,
Trapper's wife, and Hawkeye's dad...some of the others were seen in home
movies. There was Mrs Columbo as well, and Wilson from "Home Improvement"
(until the last episode). And let's not forget Frank down at the diner
(Juanita's boss).

Anybody know who was the sheriff of Mayberry before Andy? He was sheriff in
1947, (the year I was born) and worked on the case where Floyd punches a
storeowner out for being "too cheap." The case was set aside until Barney
reopened it and started a civil war in Mayberry. Anybody know his last name?
It's the same name as mine!!!! Yay me!

Subject: TAGS on Nick at Nite
Hello All,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I was watching Nick at Nite last
night and it was said that during the block summer (which they show a block
of one show every night) TAGS would be on Monday nights. I am not sure if I
heard right or not, but I thought TV Land could only show TAGS nationally.
I know Nick at Nite is like a part of TV Land but, can it be true. Anyway,
I hope so, I mean if it is, I will at least get to see TAGS on two nights a
week. I went on the web site they gave and it said nothing about it yet, so
I was wondering if anyone else seen this too..
Thanks and Happy Motoring
April

TV Land is actually "Nick-at-Nite's TV Land" so Nick-at-Night can also show
TAGS since they're the same company. It will be great to have Andy on all
night on Mondays!!!

I was going to (wrongly) guess Frank Cady for playing Sam Drucker on
Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, and I think a couple episodes of The
Beverly Hillbillies. Did he win an Emmy for any of these?
