Several people have written and asked where they can get the Andy Griffith
DVDs. I bought mine at auction on ebay. I asked them if they had more to
sell and they said yes. Their email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
they say you can send $11.99 for each dvd with shipping included. They have
the Best of Barney Fife-8 episodes, and the Best of Andy-8 episodes.

On Nick At Nite Mon. July 24th, my favorite episode was on. Mr. McBeevee,
which is I thought episode 66, but it had it as 64? That's no problem
though, it doesn't matter what number you put in front of it, it's still my
favorite. Something that was on that episode that in all the years I have
watched that epsidoe, I can never remember seeing that ending as it was last
night. I have it copied on tape 8 times, and I still do not have that
ending. It always ends with Andy shaking Mr. McBeevee's hand. But last
night it had him and Barney in the office talking about Mr. McBeevee coming
to supper later that night. What makes me the maddest of all, is that I
wasn't taping that epsidoe lastnight since I have it on so many other tapes.
Uuuuugggghhhhhhh!!!!!!! I guess I will have to tape it everytime it is on
until I am able to get that version, and then piece together the entire
thing. But no matter what they cut out, or leave in, it is still my favorite
by far, I mean by miles. It has the best line in all of the TAGs episodes if
you asked me, (no..... no.... no.... but I do believe in Opie) that makes me
well up everytime, I could watch the show 5 times in a day, and cry everytime
at that point. I love those summer blocks on Nick, it is great to watch 7
TAGs episodes in a four hour time frame. Now that is living! TAGs
rules!!!!!!!

Hey, WEAS516, That was an interesting thing you wrote, there, because every
time I watch the pickle episode I notice that every person who eats pickles
really look like they LOVE them (well, except for the bad old home pickles)
...they take a bite, close their mouths and chew but Opie would take a bite
and chew very gingerly...almost not closing his mouth at all. I always knew
it had to be because he hated pickles because my daughter would chew like
that when she was little if she didn't like something. All you trained
noticers out there...see if you can tell what I'm talking about the next time
you see this wonderful episode...Thanks, Weas516 for mentioning it!!!

I am proud to say that my lab/dalmation mix is named Bernard P. Milton
Oliver Bice.

We call him "Barney," but that's just a nick for Bernard.

We thought about naming him "Five," but kinda hated to go that far.

More power to ya.

P.S. I'm trying to relearn Pinochle. Does anyone out there know what the
various forms of meld are worth? Thought I could find this (and other
card game rules) on the web, but no luck so far.

P.P.S. Someone mentioned favorite dialog. My all-time favorite is The
Selfish Giraffes Monologue, but also ranked very high is Barney telling
Andy how he bought his parents a septic tank for their anniversary. Oh,
and then there's the Pounded Steak a la Morelli/Moody Violinist
exchange. And isn't it great when Barney explains how birds communicate
... and how about the Incarceration/Innarculation exchange ... and ....
and .... and I give up. Can't choose. Don Knotts for president!!!

Hello All,

I watched Mr. McBeeVee last night and I've just got to tell you....I just
love that episode. For some reason, I don't catch it very often, so it's
that much more special when I do. Everytime I see it, I have the same
dilemma. I spend the next several minutes trying to decide if "Three Wishes
For Opie" is really my favorite episode because I love "Mr. McBeeVee" so
much. I think they might be just too close to call.
It's nice to have that as a dilemma.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Betty Lynn did, indeed, appear in
"Cheaper By the Dozen"! She played the part of Libby Lancaster. I don't
know what's going on with her saying she didn't, and them listing it in the
IMdB. Must be one of those "76 documented cases of malfeasance!"

Yet another pet with a not so ordinary name. I named my black pug
"Floyd Lawson of Mayberry" his official AKC name. Sometimes, with his
protruding eyes, he'll look at me "just so" and I swear it's Floyd the
barber peering through those little eyes! He's an excellent companion, and
has a good soul, just like our Floyd!
By the way....one of my favorite scenes is in the episode...now bear
with me, I'm a noticer-in-training to be a trained noticer....but the
episode in which Barney gives Andy and Helen the day off at Meyer's Lake.
They are bombarded with interruptions all afternoon, and in one of the final
scenes when they are at the Justice of the Peace in Siler City...once Andy
tells them that they aren't getting married and Aunt Bee realizes this and
yells "Barney!". her tone and the way she looks at him just cracks me up!!

Floyd the pug says "woof"

See ya later - I'm going over to the Gigolo Club in Yancy for a beer and

I have in my posession a hand made (by my sister Jackie) genn-you-wine

It's Nice, Real Nice

In fact, it's so nice we keep it back in the closet with the mosaic =
